DESCRIPTION:A total of 82 university students participated in the “Family Frontiers x International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Panel : #PindaPerkara14: What will it take for Malaysian Mothers To Have Equal Citizenship Rights?” During the event\, the President of Family Frontiers shared her insights as a Malaysian mother. Also present was Danial\, an adult child of a Malaysian mother \, who shared his personal experiences being impacted by gender discriminatory citizenship laws. An IIUM law lecturer provided legal perspectives on the matter. YB Howard Lee\, Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor\, contributed through a video addressing the panel’s discussions. An IIUM student moderated the session\, which saw active participation from students who posed engaging questions to the panellists.
