I have applied for citizenship with JPN and I am going through issues with education/health/travel documents/etc. Can my application be expedited?

According to the Home Minister’s office, citizenship is the highest award the Malaysian Government gives to a worthy individual who can contribute to the country and pledge loyalty to the ‘Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong’ (King).

Each application will be processed, taking into consideration national interest as well as the safety and well-being of existing citizens. Any issues to do with education, health, travel documents and others will have to be referenced to the appropriate authorities.

Before submitting the application, the applicant would be informed that the citizenship application will be processed and completed within one year from the date of complete application received by the JPN Headquarters in Putrajaya. However, applicants can submit a letter by stating the reason to expedite the application process, and it is subject to the Malaysian Government’s jurisdiction.
