You must reside continuously in Malaysia for 5 years on a Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTVSP) This does not include any visas which are given for less than a year. You will be required to have at least two Malaysian witnesses from the same state that you are living in (not including your Malaysian spouse).
You will be required to have basic knowledge of BM, be able to answer some of the questions on Malaysia in BM. General knowledge questions on Malaysia include the number of states in the country and the national flower. You can also be asked to recite the Rukun Negara or sing the national anthem Negaraku.
