A webinar to share evidence and lived realities on the economic marginalisation impacting binational families of Malaysians, especially as a result of COVID-19. The pandemic had brought to light the vulnerability and precarity faced by Malaysians in transnational marriages, and their non-citizen spouses and children as a result of bureaucratic challenges. The webinar was an avenue for Family Frontiers to bring together different stakeholders to discuss challenges and make an economic case against the marginalisation of binational families of Malaysians, and explore strategies and ways forward in the best interest of these families.
