By Way of Long Term Social Visit Pass #

Long Term Social Visit Pass can be issued to the foreigner for a period of 6 months and it’s extendable after the 6 months period lapsed.

Eligibility #

  • 60 years old and above
  • Does not have family members / dependents at his / her origin country and instead has dependents or family members in Malaysia.

Required Documents #

  • Form Imm.12 (2 copies)
  • Form Imm.38
  • Copy of applicant’s Passport (all printed pages)
  •  Personal Bond Security Bond  (stamped RM 10 at LHDN) –  Security Bond for Chinese and Nigerian citizens
  • Copy of Sponsor’s Identity Card (sponsor must be present)
  • Sponsor Declaration Form  (stamped by the Commissioner for Oaths from the Government Court)
  • Proof of Sponsor Income
  • Proof of employer’s income (  Company Letterhead )  OR
  • Business License / SSM / ROC  AND
  • Personal Account Bank Statement – latest 3 months
  • Divorce Certificate / Death Certificate pair, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate,  Notarial Certificate  translated in Malay / English (confirmation from the Malaysian Embassy and the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
  • Proof of affiliation must be submitted in the form of documents to explain the relationship between the sponsor and the applicant
  • Note: All photocopied documents should be accompanied by the originals
  • Note: Applications or extensions involving nationals of China and African countries should be submitted to the Malaysian Immigration Department HQ.

By Way of Visa with Reference #

Visa with Reference (VDR) is a visa issued by the Malaysian Representative Office abroad to a non-citizen enabling him / her to enter Malaysia after the Visa is approved by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

How long does the VDR last? #

  • It only lasts for 6 months

How much did it cost to apply for this VDR? #

  • RM150 along with security bond (depending on the country)

Can it be renewed after its period lapsed? #

  • It’s not renewable
  • You may re-apply after 90 days exiting Malaysia.

By Way of Residence Pass #

Pass issued to any foreign national who falls under any category specified under Regulation 16A, Immigration Regulations 1963

Eligibility [Category 3] #

Mother-in-law / father in law to a Malaysia Citizen who is holding a valid pass in Malaysia

Note: only applicable if the mother / father in law of the Malaysia Citizen is holding a valid pass (eg LTSVP)

Conditions #

  • Applicant must have a valid travel document or passport with a validity of at least 6 months
  • Applicant has been staying in Malaysia on a valid long term pass (eg LTSVP)
  • The applicant has resided in Malaysia for at least 3 years on a valid long term pass [it can be done by keep extending the LTSVP before the period lapses]
  • Application  must be sponsored by a Malaysian aged 21 years and above
  • All photocopied documents issued by a foreign country MUST be certified by the corresponding foreign missions in Malaysia
  • Applications in West Malaysia must be sponsored by a Malaysia Citizen
  • Applications in Sabah and Sarawak must be sponsored by a Malaysian citizen of Sabah or Sarawak origin
  • Both sponsor and applicant MUST be present during submission of documents at the Immigration office.

Payment Rate #

  • Residence Pass RM500.00 for 5 years
  • Multiple Entry Visa by country

  • Photocopy of applicant’s passport (new and old)
  • 2 photocopies of the applicant’s passport sized photos
  • 2 photocopies of the sponsor’s identity card
  • Photocopy of birth certificate of the biological children
  • Photocopy of marriage certificate of the applicants
  • Photocopy of marriage certificate biological children
